Our Story

How it all started...

It was May 8, 2008 and Elder Pasley was in his usual early morning time of devotion when he felt a strong urging by the Holy Spirit to write down the name Restoration Life Church. Having no idea what this meant he continued to seek the Lord for direction and guidance.

After several weeks of prayer, fasting and questioning God he shared his vision with his spiritual leader and mentor Pastor Derrick W. Hutchins. Thus, Restoration Life Ministries was birthed in the heart of this man of God established on the biblical foundation of Isaiah 61:1-3 with the motto of, “Let Love draw, the Word feed and the Holy Spirit Guide.”

In March 2010 after fifteen (15) years of faithful and loyal service to Family Worship Center Church Of God In Christ the announcement was made to congregation that the Lord was calling Elder Theodore Pasley to lead a flock of believers.

After two planning meetings in May and June of 2010 Restoration Life Ministries met for the first time as a congregation on July 1, 2010 for prayer with 20 people in attendance.

Expanding the vision...

Restoration Life Ministries then held its first Sunday morning service at this location (4208 Rhame Rd.) on July 11, 2010 with 24 people in attendance.  It was October 3, 2010 the first time Pastor Pasley officially received members into the church and on that day fourteen (14) families committed to being a part of Restoration Life Ministries.  The Lord has continued to be faithful and has steadily increased the numbers since that time.  We give special thanks for the souls that have been saved and brought into the Kingdom of God through this ministry.

On July 30, 2015 God again favored RLM allowing us to purchase the facilities here at 4208 Rhame Road where we had been renting since our beginning. God has indeed set us in this place to have a positive impact on this community through ministry beyond these walls. We are truly humbled that God would allow us to serve Him in this area of the vineyard.  Even in the midst of the pandemic God has added families from Wisconsin, New York, Virginia, Kansas, Georgia, Texas, and as far away as South Africa. We steadfastly believe that if we will consistently live the word, we will draw others to a loving and saving relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Where we are headed...

Indeed, our history is brief.  However, we are thankful about what God has already done, and excited about the things He is going to do through this ministry.  It’s our intent that the motto becomes a part of who we are in Christ and in fulfilling the mission of drawing others to the kingdom with love, feeding them with the Word of God and teaching them to live by the power of the Holy Spirit.
